Since his arrival, Las Vegas EDGE rusher Chandler Jones has been pretty quiet. That should change on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. He needs to have his breakout name for the Raiders, and his matchup should allow that.
Against Daley, there is really no excuse for Jones to not have an impressive game. Daley is arguably the worst starting offensive tackle in the NFL right now due to the injuries on the Titans' offensive line. The Raiders must take advantage, especially Jones.
The loss of Taylor Lewan should be on full display if the Raiders want to be effective on defense. The Raiders will see Daley and rookie Nicholas Petit-Frere as the two starting OTs on Sunday. Petit-Frere has been better than expected for his lack of experience, but Maxx Crosby should find success there as well.
Don't get it twisted, though. Jones has not been bad this season so far. His production just has not been quite what was expected from a sacks standpoint. Jones is still getting consistent pressure alongside Crosby for the Raiders.
Jones' talent is still undeniable. He still possesses elite pass-rush moves.
The Raiders have just simply faced two of the better QBs at avoiding sacks in Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray. Las Vegas got to see plenty of Murray's athletic ability in last week's debacle.
This week, Jones and company should hammer away at a beat-up, inexperienced offensive line for the Titans.
