The Las Vegas Raiders are about to empty out their wallets, ad it's going to happen sooner than we think with the latest news.
Darren Waller, the Raiders' star tight end, has been the center of the Raiders' drama, as he has been waiting for a new contract.
Waller missed the majority of preseason and training camp, and even one time went to a Las Vegas Aces game instead of a preseason game that was at the same time, both in Las Vegas.
Waller wasn't getting any traction on the contract negotiations, so sometime last week he fired his agent and left the Klutch Sports Management group. He had to wait five days before signing with another.
On Wednesday, the star tight end signed with Drew Rosenhause and Robert Bailey, who are highly regarded as the best agents in the game.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rosenhause hopes to "get this deal done as soon as possible."
Rosenhause also hopes to make Waller the highest-paid tight end in the league. If so, that's a lot of money for the Raiders to be paying. However, they have the money.
If the Raiders want to keep the offense they have, which is a potential top-five offense in the league, they will need to pay the man, and soon.
