A recent article from Bo Wulf of The Athletic is mocking the Tennessee Titans for their recent WR struggles.
The article, published by Wulf earlier this week, went over updated NFL power rankings for Week 6 while simultaneously proposing a trade idea for all 32 teams.
When it came to Tennessee, Wulf satirized the Titans need for a WR with a joke about acquiring AJ Brown back from Philadelphia.
Here’s what was written in the article:
16. Tennessee Titans (3-2)
Trade idea: Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown
The Titans could really use an explosive wide receiver capable of making the most of a handful of targets in a run-oriented offense. Brown, meanwhile, only had three catches for 32 yards in the Eagles' win over the Cardinals and appears to be behind Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith in the Eagles' passing game pecking order. This one feels like a match made in heaven.
Up next: Bye
Gotta give it to him…that's pretty clever, and the Titans definitely had it coming.
The trade rumors swirling over Carolina Panthers WR DJ Moore must be amusing from the outside looking in. The Titans traded Brown instead of paying him, and now with Treylon Burks on IR, the team is in desperate need of a game changing WR.
While acquiring Moore is enticing, Jon Robinson and the Titans would certainly receive even more public shaming if a deal was done. From an outside perspective, it would look like the Titans were admitting regret for the Brown trade, and now trying to walk back the decisions made this offseason.
Almost like they should’ve kept Brown when they had the chance.
