The Dallas Cowboys have an intriguing player who is ready for prime time action in 2022

Do not lose sight of the pieces still in place because of the moving parts in free agency.

One of those players is very intriguing as they will have the full opportunity at more snaps as soon as OTA's and Minicamps begin.

Second-year player Kelvin Joseph looks to be fully healthy and is ready to step up and man down the number two spot.

Here are a few reasons why Joseph will be a great pairing with Trevon Diggs for the foreseeable future.

He doesn't have to overthink or overdo

Most Day one and Day two picks, particularly at cornerback, are expected to be the main guy right out of the gate.

Joseph does not have to start his first couple of years with so much pressure or the outlandish expectations that Diggs dealt with during his rookie year.

Cowboys can to bring him along smoothly as Diggs, Anthony Brown, and Jourdan Lewis are solid pieces.

Joseph will have every opportunity at playing time as the management team selected him in the 2nd round.

With Brown and Lewis on short-term deals, Joseph will continue to with play down the stretch he showcased in 2021.

Pure Athleticism

Out of Kentucky, Joseph showed great athleticism and fluid body control in games.

Those two traits were reasons the Cowboys chose him with their second-round pick in the 2021 draft.

Even though he missed the first half of the season, we saw down the stretch his sticky coverage on full display.

Joseph coming into camps healthy will allow Brown to move back to the slot corner spot.

The coaching staff believes Joseph will be able to hold down his side of this on the left field.

Joseph is perfect as a number two with his speed and technique, while Diggs is more of the ballhawk/aggressor.

Diggs getting a long-term contract is uncertain, but the duo will be ready for the spotlight in 2022.
