San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is a pretty good player.
I think most people would agree.
I also think most people — even 49ers fans — would agree that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a former NFL MVP, is a better player.
There's one fan out there, however, who prefers Jimmy G over Mahomes.
That's fine. I get it. Die-hard fans are going to ride with their guy.
It's the reasoning that baffles me.
This random fan, who goes by Thomas, prefers Garoppolo over Mahomes because Mahomes has never played in a road playoff game. Meanwhile, Garoppolo has won two road playoff games in the last month.
The reason Mahomes has never played in a road playoff game is because he puts his team in a great position for the playoffs throughout the regular season.
Garoppolo, however, could do a better job during the regular season.
Something else that "Thomas" should probably consider is that Mahomes is 1-0 against Garoppolo in the Super Bowl.
Pretty easy to see which one is the better quarterback.
