Patrick Mahomes is one of the best players in the NFL, but the Kansas City Chiefs superstar has taken a few Ls on social media this offseason.
The first L was earlier this month when some of Mahomes' teammates left him off their fictional "Chiefs basketball team". A clip of Mahomes falling on the basketball court was tweeted at the former NFL MVP.
Ouch.
Mahomes took another L on Twitter this past weekend when the Duke Blue Devils beat Texas Tech — Mahomes' alma mater — in the Sweet 16.
After the Blue Devils beat the Red Raiders, the official Duke basketball Twitter account tweeted a photo of Mahomes in a Duke jersey.
That's the definition of keeping receipts. Someone at Duke probably saw that photo a while back and knew it would come in handy one day.
Mahomes is the best in the league when it comes to improvising on the football field. His skills, though, clearly don't translate to social media.
