The Chicago Bears have released their inactive for the team’s Week 1 matchup at home against the San Francisco 49ers.
Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring) headlines the group of Bears inactive for Sunday’s contest. Jones logged three straight DNPs during the practice week so it’s not a surprising update, however unfortunate.
Bears QB Justin Fields will miss Jones’ speed out wide today as the team looks for its first win in the Matt Eberflus era.
Here are the other five Bears who will be inactive this afternoon:
- OL Alex Leatherwood
- DB Elijah Hicks
- DL Kingsley Jonathan
- OL Ja’Tyre Carter
- TE Trevon Wesco
On a related note, Bears OL Lucas Patrick will be dressed out today after dealing with a hand injury. It is not yet known whether the Bears will plug him in at center or right guard.
