Fowler predicted this week that the Bills will be the last team standing next season. He has the Bills beating the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIX.
From ESPN: Although Buffalo was a better team than Kansas City in the 2023 divisional round, it found a way to lose. The Bills will break through, and this might be the last season to do it because of looming roster/cap constraints. The Rams are trending up on offense and finally have the cap space and draft capital to improve their defense for one more run.
The Bills have the roster to win a championship. And Fowler is right that Buffalo was a better team than the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs this season. The Chiefs, however, were able to lean on their previous playoff experience to win a hard fought game that truly could've gone either way.
Buffalo should once again be the favorites in the AFC East with the Miami Dolphins their only real challengers. And the Bills should again be a threat to earn home field advantage through at least the first round or two of the playoffs.
It's all going to be there for Buffalo in 2024 — they just have to dig deep and find a way to finally seize the moment.
