The Carolina Panthers offense is devoid of weapons.

After sending out D.J. Moore and trading what became the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Panthers will most likely have to wait until the second round to get a stab at improving the roster.

A recent A to Z Sports pre-Super Bowl mock draft has the Panthers selecting the exact player they need to make Bryce Young's life at quarterback a little easier.

WR: Ladd McConkey, Georgia

The Panthers have an interesting option in McConkey as a wide receiver.

According to reports, his route-running skills are exceptional and he can seamlessly play at the NFL level, which is exactly what the team needs.

At present, Adam Thielen is the only established wide receiver on the Panthers' roster. McConkey could potentially provide the additional skill set that Carolina is looking for.

Here is what A to Z Sports' Destin Adams had to say about him:

"Ladd McConkey is a perfect fit. McConkey had a great week at the Senior Bowl, and I think he would open up more possibilities for last year's 2nd round pick, Jonathan Mingo, who the Panthers are hoping makes a significant sophomore leap."

After limited playing time in 2020, McConkey racked up 14 touchdowns and 1,687 yards receiving on 119 catches in his final three seasons.

Worrying, however, is that he was often injured in 2023, raising questions about his durability at the NFL level.

Still, with his skill set and the Panthers' need for a wide receiver, it could be a match made in heaven.
