NASHVILLE — Like many NFL players and celebrities, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is in Las Vegas this week for the festivities surrounding Super Bowl 58.
Levis has made appearances on various podcasts and radio programs, competed in the Battle of the Paddles ping pong tournament, and even participated in Thursday night’s Celebrity Poker Invitational.
The 24-year-old quarterback had an impressive showing and reached the final table in the tournament. But that wasn’t the most incredible thing he did.
At one point in the night, as Levis went all-in and shoved his chips in the middle. He then threw out a seemingly random prediction for the upcoming flop. “Four, eight, nine,” Levis said.
The flop came and…yep. Four, eight, nine it was. Levis called it exactly. The odds of doing that are calculated to be at 1 in 22,100. And it’s not like Levis was just throwing out predictions for the flop on every hand. He took one shot, nailed his 1 in 22,100 chance, and proceeded to win the big hand that propelled him to the final table.
Is Levis a secret poker genius? Was he counting cards? I’d say this was probably just an incredible stroke of luck, but if you’re a poker fan, you’d know what a crazy moment this was.
Levis would finish the event in 6th place, winning $2,500 and putting on an impressive showing. He may not have won, but he certainly had the highlight of the evening.
