The Kansas City Chiefs completed their final practice of the week on Friday ahead of their Super Bowl LVIII showdown with the San Francisco 49ers.
The team will hold a walkthrough-style practice on Saturday, but the next time they truly hit the field will be for the Super Bowl in Allegiant Stadium on Sunday. There was a worrying practice development on Thursday, but it appears that some of those worries have been alleviated in the final practice session of the week.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is good to go
With around 20 minutes remaining in practice on Thursday, rookie WR Rashee Rice was stepped on by one of his teammates. He walked off the injury and received treatment from the team training staff while he sat on the bleachers on the sideline.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid indicated that the injury would not be a big deal.
“No. He got stepped on,” Reid told the pool reporter on Thursday. “He’s all right.”
Rice was a limited participant in practice on Thursday as a result of the injury. He participated in full during Friday's practice. He also doesn't carry a game status designation for the game.
The final Chiefs injury report with game status designations for Super Bowl LVIII:

Observations:
- The Chiefs will be without All-Pro LG Joe Thuney, lining up Nick Allegrettin for his second consecutive start.
- Prince Tega Wanogho will not be activated to the 53-man roster from injured reserve.
- Jerick McKinnon was given a "slim" chance to play in the Super Bowl. After three consecutive limited practices, he has yet to be ruled out for Sunday. He's got a chance, but expect to learn more tomorrow as he'll need to be activated from IR to play.
