Not today.
News surfaced on Wednesday afternoon that Coach Prime and Colorado had made a big recruiting move, attempting to bring in the top wide receiver recruit in Georgia, Aaron Gregory (Douglasville, GA). [More on why Colorado's offer might be unique enough to get him to commit here shortly.]
Gregory is a consensus five star player and might be the best wide receiver in the entire 2026 recruiting class. He announced via his X account that Deion Sanders and Colorado Football had officially extended him an offer this afternoon as you can see in the post below.
This is huge news as Colorado has largely abandoned high school recruiting since Deion Sanders joined the program as head coach. However, they have had their fair share of success bringing in top tier wide receiver talents thanks to the high-flying offense Coach Prime wants to run.
Sanders of course brought in two-way offensive and defensive star Travis Hunter who found great success at wide receiver and defensive back last fall. This offseason they've already added productive wide receiver stars Will Sheppard (Vanderbilt), LaJohntay Wester (FAU), and former top tier four star recruit Cordale Russell.
Aaron Gregory will be a tough talent to pull given that he already has over 30 FBS scholarship offers from schools like Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Texas, and more. However, Coach Prime might have a trump card to play that makes his offer unique.
Gregory doesn't just play receiver. He also plays some defensive back and has hinted that he could want to play both sides of the ball at the next level. If that's the case then Coach Prime has both the perfect skill set and proof of concept in Travis Hunter to pull this off.
This particular recruitment will be one to watch as Gregory continues to dominate the recruiting camp circuit this spring. Will there be more buzz concerning Gregory potentially playing both sides of the ball? Will Colorado be able to bring him in if that's the case?
A player like Gregory could be an absolute game changer for Coach Prime's high school football recruiting profile. And Colorado might just be the perfect fit for this young five star talent.
