The Los Angeles Chargers have officially announced head coach Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff for the 2024 season, and it includes a total of five former Baltimore Ravens coaches.
The Chargers named Greg Roman as their new offensive coordinator. Roman replaces Kellen Moore, who held the position for a mere one season.
Roman's previous run as offensive coordinator came with the Ravens for four seasons, including their historic 2019 campaign. Baltimore led the NFL in both points per game (33.2) and rushing yards per game (206.0) in the season.
Following a two-season run as defensive coordinator for the Michigan Wolverines, Jesse Minter agreed to the same role with the Chargers. Minter most notably spent four years in Baltimore, including a one-year stint as its defensive backs coach.
Marc Trestman will take hold of the senior offensive assistant position for the Harbaugh-led Chargers. His previous run in the NFL came with the Ravens from 2015 to 2016, serving as their offensive coordinator.
Mike Devlin recently bid farewell to the Ravens. He left Baltimore to take Los Angeles’ vacant offensive line coach position.
Finally, former Ravens assistant tight ends coach Andy Bischoff will serve as run game coordinator and tight ends coach for the Chargers this year.
A new era in Los Angeles is well underway.
