ESPN host Mike Greenberg is not on board with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson becoming the next passer to win his first Super Bowl.
Jackson came up a mere game short of leading the Ravens to the Super Bowl this past season. The Ravens seemed destined to clinch a spot in Super Bowl 58, but the Kansas City Chiefs wound up playing the role of spoiler in last month’s AFC title game via a 17-10 win.
There are multiple standout quarterbacks today who are still missing a Super Bowl ring in their trophy cabinet, from Jackson to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
During an airing of ESPN’s "Get Up" program on Wednesday, Greenberg shared his top-five list of quarterbacks who he expects will win their first Super Bowl next. He penciled in Green Bay Packers passer Jordan Love atop this list and slotted in Jackson at the No. 4 spot.
Jackson still has much to prove with the Ravens, which sure is one reason why many continue to doubt whether he can lead Baltimore to the biggest game in the sport. Overall, Jackson boasts a 2-4 record in the playoffs, and he has posted a 75.7 passer rating in such contests.
