11-year-old reporter Jeremiah Fennell stole the show on the opening night of the Super Bowl.
The future sports media star interviewed numerous NFL players on Monday night in Las Vegas, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Fennell asked Mahomes to name his all-time NFL team position by position. The two went back and forth naming players for their all-time team.
When they got to defensive end, Mahomes asked if Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was considered a linebacker or a defensive end. When Fennell said that Taylor should be considered a linebacker, Mahomes decided to go with Tennessee Vols legend Reggie White as his first choice for his all-time defensive end.
"Are we counting Lawrence Taylor as a D-end or an outside linebacker?….then I'll go with Reggie White," said Mahomes.
White was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006 after he totaled 198 sacks during his NFL career.
Mahomes was only five years old when White retired from the NFL and he never saw him play in college at Tennessee. But it's clear that the superstar quarterback still has a great appreciation for one of the best defensive players in NFL history.
