The Baltimore Ravens completed their first notable move of the offseason last week, hiring Zach Orr as their new defensive coordinator. Orr served as Ravens inside linebackers coach over the past two seasons, and he has closely worked with the likes of Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen.

Orr held his first press conference as Ravens defensive coordinator on Tuesday. As expected, Orr touched on just how much he is looking forward to anchoring a Ravens defense that led the NFL in a multitude of stats in the regular season this year.

Orr has already had the opportunity to touch base with several defensive players on the team, and he had a simple message for them ahead of the 2024 season.

"A lot of people reached out," Orr said. "I've seen people in the building just in passing, and guys are excited. They’re just saying, ‘I’m going to get everything out of them,’ and I told them, ‘You’re going to get everything out of me.’

"So, I’m excited. I told them to get ready, get some rest, get your body ready, and when we get back, it’s on."

From OTAs to training camp, Orr sure will have plenty of time before the start of the 2024 season to both install and tweak his defensive system.
