There's an idea floating around the internet that the San Francisco 49ers, a team that enters games with a player/staff member carrying an old school boombox, should play a Taylor Swift song on their boombox ahead of their matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII.
The idea would be to troll Travis Kelce (Swift's boyfriend) and the Chiefs ahead of the big game on Sunday.
49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings was asked this week what he thinks about using a Taylor Swift song to troll the Chiefs.
And the former Tennessee Vols standout isn't feeling it.
"I think they got Taylor Swift on their side," said Jennings. "So I don't think we should be walking out to Taylor Swift."
Good call, Jennings. The last thing the 49ers need to do before the Super Bowl is give Kelce and the Chiefs some extra motivation. Plus, playing a song that's sung by a superfan of the opposing team doesn't make a lot of sense. That would be kind of like the Alabama Crimson Tide playing a song about Tennessee at home games in Tuscaloosa…
