The NFL has officially released the franchise tag values for this year.

Multiple defensive tackles in the NFL are eligible to receive the franchise tag, including Baltimore Ravens' Justin Madubuike. He played the 2023 season on the final year of his rookie contract, and he is set to hit free agency in March.

If the Ravens were to issue the non-exclusive franchise tag to Madubuike and the standout defensive lineman were to put pen to paper on it, then he would earn $22.1 million in the 2024 season.

The Ravens have until March 5 to decide whether they will place the franchise tag on Madubuike or allow him to become an unrestricted free agent next month.

Baltimore can always opt to hand Madubuike the non-exclusive franchise tag and then later come to terms with him on a multiyear extension deal. The Washington Commanders most notably took such a route during their lengthy contract talks with defensive tackle Daron Payne last year. The two sides ultimately agreed to a four-year, $90 million extension deal.

Madubuike upped his market value in the 2023 campaign. He posted career highs across the board, including in sacks (13.0).
