The Philadelphia Eagles have been heavily linked to Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March.
UFA's can't "legally" begin negotiating with teams until the start of NFL free agency on March 11, however, illegal tampering behind the scenes happens and you're living in a delusional world if you think it doesn't.
That said, Sneed may have hinted at where he is heading in free agency or where he would like to go in his latest Instagram post.
Sneed posted a photo of himself from the Chiefs 2023 season "flying" like a bird and captioned it with a simple eagle emoji.
Sneed, intentionally or unintentionally, stirred up rumors of him heading to Philly with the post.
Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith was one of the people who liked Sneed's photo, stirring up the rumors even more.
Even if Sneed's post means nothing, you can't be a star cornerback in the NFL who is about to hit the open market and be flirting with an eagle emoji during a time like this.
For Eagles fans' sake, let's hope it means something because Philly could use a playmaker like him.
In 16 games in 2023, Sneed registered a combined 78 tackles, five tackles for loss, 14 passes defended, and two interceptions. He also allowed zero touchdowns in coverage last season.
According to A to Z Sports, Sneed is projected to look for a four-year, $64 million deal with $35 million guaranteed this offseason.
That may have looked like a big price tag last week, but with the latest salary cap increase and some roster cuts on the horizon, the Eagles can make that happen if they want.
