Williams, who is from Franklin, TN, transferred to Tennessee ahead of the 2023 season. He spent his true freshman season at Liberty in 2022.
The walk-on linebacker didn't see any playing time for the Vols in 2023.
The transfer portal closed earlier this month, which means Williams will likely have to wait until the second transfer window opens in April to officially enter the portal.
Earlier this offseason, a new rule went into effect that allows multiple transfers, which is why Williams is allowed to enter the portal for a second time.
