This wasn't a rivalry by any means. However, when you beat someone who has doubted you, or when the world doubts you, and you complete that one task, there's going to be that emotion.
For now, that's the excuse the Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Donovan Smith, as he taunted a Ravens player after the game.
If you tuned into Smith's Instagram Live to see the reaction of the locker room after the game, you likely saw Smith yelling at Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith, who was on the TV doing a press conference and looked very upset.
Now, I won't repeat what Smith said because it's a lot and, well, explicit. However, if you're a Chiefs fan, you may find it funny; if you're a Ravens fan, not so much.
Apparently, it sounds like Roquan Smith was talking trash all game, which would make sense because almost every player trash talks. And, if you watch football, you know defenders tend to talk a ton of trash.
But, it would appear that Smith got the last laugh. He was the one celebrating in the locker room, knowing he would be going back to the Super Bowl for the second time in the last three years, as he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the team that beat the Chiefs.
This will likely end up being a game we see on primetime TV in 2024, as they do play each other next season.
