Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings was hyped on Sunday night after his San Francisco 49ers advanced to Super Bowl LVIII via their win against the Detroit Lions.
Jennings, who made a key third down catch in the third quarter that jump-started the 49ers' comeback from a 17-point deficit, was interviewed on the field by ABC 10 directly after the game. And in true Jennings fashion, the former Vol oozed excitement.
"We gotta go prove it, that's it, right now, we the best in the world," said Jennings while confetti fell around him.
When Jennings was asked how the 49ers are going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, he said "by playing 49er brand of football", before jubilantly adding that he was planning to celebrate San Francisco's win in the NFC Championship game with the "Squaaaad".
Jennings has proven to be one the 49ers' most important players, thanks to his relentless blocking and penchant for coming up with key receptions on third down, which has earned him the moniker "third-and-Jauan".
