One of the Tennessee Vols' 2024 signees made a big jump in the latest recruiting rankings update from On3.

2024 edge rusher Jordan Ross is now a five-star player according to On3. He jumped from the No. 4 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 38 overall player to the No. 1 edge rusher and the No. 7 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class.

Ross, 6-foot-5/233 lbs from Birmingham, AL, was already rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports.

247Sports has Ross as the No. 1 edge rusher in the nation, the No. 9 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class, and the No. 3 player in the state of Alabama.

Ross recently went semi-viral for a ferocious dunk during a high school basketball game.

Ross has an opportunity to earn some playing time as a true freshman next fall for the Vols. With junior edge rusher James Pearce likely to draw plenty of double-teams next season, there's a good chance that Ross makes a significant impact for Tennessee as a true freshman.
