The Pro Bowl Games can be such a bittersweet event for fans of teams that were expected to be Super Bowl contenders, such as the Dallas Cowboys.
Which makes the game, even the flag version of it, somewhat of an odd experience. But the rarity reached a major peak for Cowboys fans on Sunday when wide receiver CeeDee Lamb scored the first touchdown of the NFC squad.
There wasn't anything weird about Lamb making a great play on the ball as he did that all of 2023 as he established himself as a top WR1 in the league. But out of every NFC quarterback that could've made that pass, it had to be one of the Cowboys' biggest rivals.
You see, it was Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts throwing the ball into the end zone to find Lamb in a go route. That just feels so wrong, man.
Things got even weirder in the second NFC drive when the tables turned. This time, it was Lamb quarterbacking after catching a lateral from Hurts. He targeted the rival QB but Hurts couldn't make the tough catch as he went to the ground.
Man, February really is here, huh? Good for CeeDee getting some spotlight in Orlando, though. Cowboys Nation sure hopes he keeps playing February football. Just maybe the different kind. You know, the real one.

He didn’t hold back.
