The Chicago Bears are moving quick to lock in the remaining pieces of the coaching staff under head coach Matt Eberflus.

On the same day the Bears locked in Shane Waldron as their next offensive coordinator, it was reported the team will be interviewing their second candidate for the vacant defensive coordinator position.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Bears will interview Tennessee Titans assistant head coach and defensive line coach Terrell Williams for their defensive coordinator position.

The Bears seemingly have a type when it comes to the defensive coordinator search. On Sunday, it was reported that the Bears interviewed Titans defensive pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach Chris Harris for the same position. Williams now means both known candidates for the position have come from the Titans coaching staff under former head coach Mike Vrabel.

The Bears could just be using the defensive coordinator interviews as a chance to get to know Williams and elect to bring both former Titans defensive assistants on to the staff in Chicago. Whatever the case may be, the Bears are moving quickly for their second coordinator searching party.

Who is Terrell Williams?

Williams just finished his sixth season with the Titans after joining the team in 2018. He has 26 seasons of coaching experience, including 12 seasons in the NFL. Prior to joining the Titans, Williams served three years with the Miami Dolphins from 2015-2017 coaching the defensive line.

Williams coaching resume includes notable and successful seasons from top defensive linemen such as Jeffrey Simmons, DeMarcus Walker, Denico Autry, Jurrell Casey, Cameron Wake, and Ndamukong Suh.

Williams will be getting valuable coaching experience in the coming days as he will be serving as the head coach of the American team in the Reese's Senior Bowl next week. His work as certainly been noticeable around the league and the Bears are starting to show interest of their own.
