Justin M of The Draft Network reported the Colts meeting with Texas Tech CB Rayshad Williams.
Justin shared that the Colts were one of eight teams to meet with Texas Tech CB Rayshad Williams at the Hula Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
Williams started his college career in 2019 at UCLA; after two years at the university, he transferred to Texas Tech for his final three years of collegiate football.
UCLA Stats:
- 2019: 9 games, 33 total tackles, 2 pass deflections
- 2020: 5 games, 9 total tackles, 1 pass deflection
Texas Tech Stats:
- 2021: 13 games, 38 total tackles, 10 pass deflections
- 2022: 13 games, 37 total tackles, 1 interception, 7 pass deflections
- 2023: 12 games, 19 total tackles, 6 pass deflections
Williams' long frame- he is 6'3 and 215 lbs fits what the Colts and GM Chris Ballard usually prioritize at the CB position, which makes this meeting intriguing. He is a day 3 at best prospect, though, so I wouldn't classify Williams as someone atop the team's CB rankings for the 20243 class.
