The Kansas City Chiefs completed their final practice of the week on Friday ahead of their divisional-round playoff tilt against the Buffalo Bills.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid spoke to reporters after practice, giving them the final update on the team's injury situation ahead of Sunday evening. The team ruled out three players, including a starting defender, but overall they appear to be in much better health than their opponent.

"As far as the injuries go, the guys that didn't practice today were Skyy Moore with that knee strain," Reid began. "He tweaked it a little bit yesterday, so we backed off of him. He'll be listed as out also. Wanya Morris is still in the concussion protocol. He'll be listed as out. Derrick Nnadi with the tricep, he'll be listed as out. Everybody else practiced and did a good job there."

Reid later added that practice squad DT Mike Pennel would be called up and fill in for Nnadi on the defensive line.

Observations:

  • As we wrote yesterday, Morris had a setback in the NFL's return-to-play protocol for concussions.
  • We figured that Moore would sit this week, but his suffering a setback could delay his return if the Chiefs advance to the AFC title game.
  • Willie Gay Jr. is a new addition to the report, but he doesn't carry a game status designation.
