When the Carolina Panthers brought in running back Miles Sanders, it was supposed to be a help to Bryce Young.

All it did was hurt.

Sanders slogged through one of the worst seasons in his career, amassing a measly 432 yards on 129 carries and one rushing touchdown.

His play did not live up to his five-year, $29.5 million contract. The Panthers finished 2-15 on the year, and Sanders recently took to Instagram to say what Panthers fans felt about watching him play in 2023.

"I'm pissed off," Sanders wrote on Instagram. "Don't have much to say about this season."

Throughout the year, several Panthers faithful were let down by Sanders, who joined Carolina after a career season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was supposed to present a nice change of pace runner, who could also catch passes out of the backfield. Instead, the fumble bug came back to bite and his production was pedestrian at best.

Midway through the season, Sanders was usurped by Chuba Hubbard as the team's No. 1 runner.

If he wants to live up to his contract in year six, the Panthers will need more out of Sanders. It also wouldn't be shocking if the franchise found a way to move on him – fast.
