News broke on Tuesday that the Tennessee Vols are under NCAA investigation due to NIL deals with student athletes.
Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava is believed to be at the center of the investigation after he was rumored to have received a lucrative NIL deal when he committed to Tennessee nearly two years ago.
Tennessee defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs, a former four-star recruit, took to Twitter/X.com on Tuesday afternoon to express some feelings after the news broke.
"Got ourselves a squad so they just gotta hate," wrote an obviously frustrated Hobbs.

I imagine that's how most Tennessee fans are feeling right now. The Vols are a legitimate College Football Playoff contender entering the 2024 season and now they have to deal with this as a distraction. It has to be frustrating.
Tennessee isn't alone, however, in being investigated by the NCAA due to NIL deals.
Florida is also under investigation for a player (Jaden Rashada) they didn't even sign. It wouldn't be a surprise for more NIL-related investigations to open in the coming weeks/months. After all, every major program in the nation is making NIL deals. And most of them aren't being very quiet about the fact that those deals coincide with signing a recruit/transfer player.
