Tennessee Vols athletic director Danny White put out a statement, via Twitter/X.com, on Wednesday in regards to the new NCAA investigation, which centers on UT's NIL dealings, and the subsequent lawsuit from the states of Tennessee and Virginia.
"I appreciate the action of Tennessee AG Jonathan Skrmetti for standing up for the rights of student-athletes," wrote White. "At Tennessee, we are always going to work to support our student-athletes’ rights and give them all the tools needed to succeed on and off the field. This is what strong leadership looks like!"
It sounds like the Volunteers are gearing up for a fight and they'll have strong allies in the states of Tennessee and Virginia.
