Cleveland Browns have decided on a third quarterback after losing starter Deshaun Watson for the season.

After a good workout on Friday, the Browns are signing free agent QB Joe Flacco. Flacco will begin with the practice squad before making his way to the active roster.

Flacco spent 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens where he won a Super Bowl. Browns’ fans will know him best for the 18-3 record he has against Cleveland in his career.

Last season, the Browns blew a lead against the Flacco-led New York Jets. The veteran threw for over 300 yards and had four passing touchdowns. Now, he is going to be on their side.

After winning in Week 11, Dorian Thompson-Robinson will continue to be Cleveland’s starter. Flacco is there along with P.J. Walker if the Browns need to go away from the rookie. On the season, the Browns are 3-2 with the backups leading the way at quarterback.

It makes sense for the Browns to bring in a veteran at the position and that’s just what they have done. A player that might take some getting used to seeing in a Browns uniform.
