The Buffalo Bills got back to their winning ways with a dominant victory over the New York Jets. Joe Brady had a pretty great first day in the office, utilizing motion and finding easy ways for Josh Allen to dissect the defense.
While it was just one game, our hands were slowly starting to drift away from the panic button. With a game against Philadelphia next week, that will be the ultimate test.
One thing was for certain when watching this contest, the teams did not like one another. In several instances throughout the contest, a skirmish would break out after some extra shoving after a play. In particular, there was a hilarious moment with LT Dion Dawkins who flopped before waving to the crowd (he was called for a penalty but it was still funny).
Immediately after the game, tempers flared as Dawkins and Jets DL Michael Clemons got into it in the tunnel following the game. We wouldn't call this a fight, but it looks like there were one or two unfortunate words away from this being an all-out brawl.
In the video, you can see Clemons follow Dawkins, chirping at him down the hallway. Again, these teams really don't like one another and Dawkins was having none of it. While the teams were able to be separated, Buffalo had a parting shot as reportedly a player could be heard shouting, "And we beat that a**, too."
The Buffalo Bills' defense made life miserable for Zach Wilson and the Bills' offensive line made sure Allen was protected almost all game. It's easy to see why the Jets were angry, Buffalo really did beat that a**.
While Week 1 was a disappointing and soul-crushing loss, Buffalo got back on the right track with a thrilling victory over their division rival. The Jets were angry, Bills Mafia was thrilled, today is a good day.
