The Indianapolis Colts added a young safety to their practice squad on Monday.

As the team announced the signing of Tyreque Jones.

Jones signed with the Tennesee Titans as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He spent all of training camp with the team before being released during their cut-down to 53. He also has spent time with the New York Jets on their practice squad this season.

He now joins his 3rd team during his rookie year. Jones spent his college years at Boise State, a whooping six seasons from 2017 to 2022. During that span, he appeared in 42 games, totaling 157 total tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

This won't be Jones' first time inside Lucas Oil Stadium, as he participated in the NFL's 2023 Scouting Combine. He put his athleticism on full display as he finished inside the top 10 of all safety in the following events:

  • 40-yard dash: 4.52 (7th)
  • Broad jump: 9'11" (10th)
  • 20-yard shuttle: 4.48 (3rd)
