The Buffalo Bills are beginning their preparations for their upcoming 'Sunday Night Football' showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. An emotional rematch as last season, Damar Hamlin suffered a reported cardiac arrest and nearly lost his life.
As is the case every week, Sean McDermott opened up to the media about the team, their plans moving forward, and injury updates for the team. The Bills head coach provided an update on the superstar QB Josh Allen and an injury that he's dealing with stemming from a hit he took during the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mike Garafolo reported that Allen would be limited in practice today, working through that shoulder injury that saw Allen briefly leave the contest and head to the blue medical tent, something that immediately had the Bills Mafia thinking the worst.
Anytime we hear "Josh Allen is limited" with anything surrounding an injury it gives us a reason to be concerned. However, the same was true last week heading into the contest. Allen has been springing up on the injury report with his shoulder and McDermott has even gone as far as to say the QB was "day to day" in previous injury reports.
While we don't anticipate Allen will miss time, he's a machine and just finds a way to get on the football field, it'll be an injury to monitor moving throughout this week. The Bengals will be a tough test for both the offense and defense as Joe Burrow seems to be back to his old self and wants to once again remind the league of how dominant he really is.
Get the bubble wrap out, and do whatever you have to to protect Allen heading into this matchup. For the Bills to win, Josh Allen needs to be on the football field.
