Geno Smith will be the next quarterback to get a shot at cracking the code that is Baltimore’s No. 1 ranked defense. While Smith has so far not been able to mirror his Pro Bowl campaign from last season, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith knows very well that the veteran passer is not one whom any defensive unit should overlook.
"He does a lot of great things well — get out in space, get out of the pocket, make those throws whether that's boots, whether that's in the gun, getting quick throws out, quick gain, and things of that nature [and] quick release," Smith said during a press conference ahead of Week 9.
In the big picture, the Ravens' standout linebacker is much looking forward to squaring off with the Smith-led Seahawks offense on Sunday.
"I'm excited for the opportunity," Smith said. "The defense is excited for the opportunity, and if we come out, do what we have to do, things will be in our favor, but we just have to take it one day at a time."
Smith has thrown two interceptions and logged a 52.4 passer rating in two career games played against Baltimore.
