Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs made sure the NFL world doesn't forget him while he's away from the gridiron dealing with a season-ending injury.
Earlier this week, Diggs sent out several tweets that have since caused a media firestorm. The posts on Twitter/X weighed in on his brother's situation with the Buffalo Bills.
Stefon Diggs' team is struggling as they sit at 5-5 through ten weeks of the season and would be out of the playoffs if the NFL season ended today. Trevon sent two messages on social media following their latest loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
- Monday night: "Man 14 (Stefon) Gotta get up outta there"
- Tuesday morning: "Let’s not forget, he (Josh Allen) didn’t start going off till bro got there."
It's not the first time Stefon Diggs has been caught up in controversy with the Bills and although it was his brother who sent those tweets to the world, both posts remain up there, a possible indication that Stefon didn't mind them.
Rob Gronkowski put both brothers on blast on his latest appearance on Kay Adams' Up & Adams Show.
"That's a little bit too much from Trevon Diggs," the Patriots legend said. "It doesn't make sense."
Gronkowski went on to detail Diggs' situation and why the brothers' stance on things was way off the mark, something many Bills fans will agree with.
"You got an unbelievable contract, what's the worries?" Gronkowski added. "You're the main receiver, you get are the number one wide receiver, Josh Allen wants to go to you about every single time that you possibly can. You got your stats that are up there. It's not like your stats are going to be better with another team, you are in the possibility of winning the last three years of contending for a Super Bowl. Do you know how hard it is to be on a contending team year in and year out like that?"
The future Hall of Famer tight end also added fuel to the fire about why the beef between the Bills and Diggs is real and it has everything to do with Trevon acting as Stefon's anger translator on social media:
"I don't know what the problem is with Stefon Diggs, I don't know why his brother's tweeting that like that," Gronk said. "I think there's some serious beef behind it, if brother is tweeting that I think you know, it's not anything like fake news or anything. It's definitely a reliable source. And obviously, he's unhappy, but I don't know why."
The Bills fired their offensive coordinator, Ken Dorsey, on Tuesday. With so many pieces moving on Buffalo, Diggs can be a leader and step up the plate.
"Just suck it up," shot Gronkowski.
