The Jacksonville Jaguars fan base is in shambles, and they somewhat have a right to be. The San Francisco 49ers game wasn't pretty by any means.
There is little, if anything, positive we can learn from that game. All three phases were sub-par, but especially the offense. So, now you scrap it and move on to the next one. It would be best if you always looked forward and never backward. You can't change what has already happened.
And while there needs to be a ton of attention on that game and what happened, I think it's safe to say that the players have somewhat moved on, too. They know they are better than what we saw on the field last Sunday.
One of the best players on the team is already reassuring everyone that there really isn't anything to panic about.
"We need every game," Calvin Ridley recently said in the locker room. "But we only lost three games. I mean, we are making a big deal? Going crazy? We lost three games. 6-3 is good. You know, we just have to get back on our pace. We won five games straight and lost, what, one? We are going to be alright."
And while that may be true, it seems like the issue isn't that the Jaguars lost the game. I think if the Jaguars lost a close one, scored a ton of points, and still lost, we wouldn't be here talking about it today. We are nine games in for the Jaguars, and the biggest issue, the offense, isn't getting any better and may be worse.
But it's good to hear a player say he isn't worried. It would be a bad thing if he said he was worried.
