The Indianapolis Colts got a big win in Baltimore over the Ravens in Week 3.

And Colts head coach Shane Steichen joined the Pat McAfee show to discuss the win.

Steichen shared his thoughts on multiple different things during his time on the show. But his thoughts on this team are where I will be focusing.

Gardner Minshew:

The signing of Garnder Minshew was one of the first moves the Colts made after naming Shane Steichen their head coach. Steichen shared why he wanted him with him in Indianapolis.

Gardner is a hell of a football player. The one thing about Gardner, he loves ball. I think when you love ball at that position, and you take your job seriously. And you work and grind, and are a student of the game, you become successful. Whenever he has to play he goes in and opperates at a high level. He did it in Houston, and obviusoly the had the huge win this past weekend in Baltimore.

Anthony Richardson:

While Steichen praised backup Gardner Minshew, he spoke highly of the team's starting quarterback, Anthony Richardson, and how he has impressed from the jump, along with the relationship between the two quarterbacks.

"AR has done a heck of a job. He came in and hit the ground running when we drafted him. Just learning the offense, learning the system. And obviously through training camp and the first couple of games he played he made some big-time plays for us. And Gardner has been just a great resource for him. On a daily basis in the meeting rooms, on the days off, they are in here watching tape together, learning and grinding together."

His Team:

While the quarterbacks will always dominate conversations in the sport of football, when you are a head coach in the NFL, the entire team is your responsibility. Steichen shared how the adjustment has been for him to this role and what he learned from his team after their big win over the Ravens.

"Resilience, toughness, those guys just didn't give up. It was a back-and-forth game, it was a great battle by both teams. The guys just kept believing, it was almost 5 quarters of football. You get three possessions in overtime which is really rare. And then to get the game-winning field goal from Matt Gay was huge."
