Fans of the Indianapolis Colts had a rough season last year for multiple reasons. The poor play from their team's offense was likely near the top of their list.

The absence of big plays and long touchdowns played a major role in the Colts offense being dry and stagnant. That is no longer the case in Indianapolis, as they already have the 2nd most touchdowns from 10+ yards out through the first three weeks of the season.

For Shane Steichen to have this offense already showing significantly more life and big play potential through the first three weeks is very impressive. And to do so with his backup QB the past two weeks shows that the Colts got this hire correct.

Just to look at this stat as a comparison, the offenses that the Colts are tied with are the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings. And the only team with more touchdowns of 10+ yards is the explosive Miami Dolphins.

There is a lot of football still to be played this season and a lot of growth to still be had for the Colts offense. But this type of start shows that the arrow is pointing in the right direction for the team, and fans should be excited for the future of this offense.
