The Buffalo Bills were celebrating all game during the Washington Commanders as they dominated from start to finish in the matchup. Josh Allen protected the football (except for one interception), James Cook nearly had 100 rushing yards, Stefon Diggs was his normal self and the defense was historic.
What's more, Gabe Davis was able to find the endzone in the contest and the Bills Mafia were lucky enough to get some behind-the-scenes footage of what happened immediately after. Davis was mic'd up and it gave us a moment we won't soon forget.
The Buffalo Bills released the full video, showing Davis warming up before the game, joking with his teammates, getting just as pumped as we were for the A.J. Epenesa pick-six, and another incredible moment that makes his touchdown that much sweeter.
If you want to fast forward to the moment we're discussing, it comes at the 8:17 mark in the video. While chatting with Khalil Shakir on the sideline, late in the contest, Davis admitted that his touchdown had a much bigger meaning for him.
Davis opened up that it was his pet dog's third birthday, and that the touchdown was for her. The rising star not only dominates on the football field but is dominating the hearts of the Bills Mafia with this wholesome admission.
"It's Ghosts's birthday today." Which immediately resulted in a "For real?" from Shakir. Davis continued, "Scored for my dog man."
I previously wrote about how the Buffalo Bills need to extend Gabe Davis, with more sideline moments like this and him opening up about his dog, we wouldn't be surprised if a petition gets started to get this man paid.
All jokes aside, it's often forgotten that these football players are normal people, just like us. Davis scoring for his touchdown and then being like a little kid at Christmas talking about it to his teammates is absolutely something we could see ourselves doing if we were in the NFL.
