Baltimore Ravens offensive linemen John Simpson and Tyler Linderbaum were named to Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for Week 1.
Simpson earned an overall player grade of 87.2 from PFF, which was the highest among all left guards in Week 1. The fourth-year offensive lineman featured in all 64 of Baltimore’s snaps on offense against the Houston Texans. He wound up allowing a mere two total pressures and one hit during his time on the field.
PFF handed Linderbaum an overall player grade of 76.1 for Week 1 — the highest mark among all centers. He was on the field for 92 percent of the Ravens' snaps on offense in the home win over Houston, and he did not allow a single sack or hit.
Linderbaum did leave the game in the fourth quarter due to an ankle sprain injury. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday that the second-year center "may" miss the team's upcoming 2 road clash with the Cincinnati Bengals due to the ailment.
If Linderbaum ends up being ruled out for Week 2, then Sam Mustipher would slot into the starting center role on Sunday. Mustipher earned a player grade of 64.8 from PFF for five snaps played against Houston.
Overall, right tackle Morgan Moses (79.3) and wide receiver Zay Flowers (78.2) were the only other players on Baltimore's offense who received a player grade of at least 70.0 for Week 1.
