The Buffalo Bills are licking their wounds after an abysmal game against the New York Jets. The NFL officials missed a crucial call on the game-winning punt return for a touchdown but ultimately it was QB Josh Allen who was the reason the team lost.
Allen wasn't himself. Yes, he's turnover prone but Allen has been talking all offseason about his desire to protect the football and that being a focal part of his game moving forward.
Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do that as he now leads the league in turnovers since 2018. However, a potential injury could also be the reason why Allen's play was so bad.
After the contest, a video of Allen's head bouncing off the turf spread like wildfire across social media, having many believe that the superstar QB may have suffered from a concussion and should've been looked at during the game.
Now, if Allen had been ruled out, the team very well could have lost as well. The team will live and die by number 17, turnovers and all. Concussions are no joke and this potential injury could very well have had an impact on the contest.
After watching the game and some of the plays that Allen made in the contest, it would make sense that the superstar QB may have been suffering from a concussion.
There has been no word from the front office or even Allen on this potential injury. However, just looking at the video, it doesn't seem great.
Regardless, the Bills have a lot to clean up with some big question marks on the roster coming into their home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders next week. Getting a full bill of health and Allen being on the right track will go far for this team to get back to their dominant ways.
It's only one week, we just want to see the team healthy. It can't get much worse, right?
