Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson (56) walks off the field Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, after losing a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts began their practice week ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Houston Texans today.

And the team's offensive line saw two key starters miss practice.

Two Starting Offensive Linemen

Quenton Nelson:

Quenton Nelson was in and out of the Colts Week 1 game Sunday due to a toe injury. That same injury held him out of practice today. We will have to wait and see how this progresses throughout the week to know if Nelson is in danger of missing Week 2. Nelson is one of few Colts players who has missed practice throughout the week and still finds a way to suit up on game day time after time, so at the moment, I don't think fans should worry about Nelson's availability.

Braden Smith:

Not one but two Colts starting offensive linemen missed practice today. Smith has been in and out of practice all training camp long with a knee issue and now has missed his first regular-season practice. Similar to Nelson, Smith is a player who the Colts have seen miss practice throughout the week and still suit up for game day, so unless he misses all three days of practice, he should be good to go for Sunday.
