Kyle Hamilton's promising rookie campaign with the Baltimore Ravens caught the attention of many across the NFL, including Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.

Hamilton featured in 16 regular season games with Baltimore last year, where he tallied 62 total tackles and 2.0 sacks. It took a while for Hamilton to get going, but he did manage to put together multiple potent performances in the second half of the year, including in Baltimore’s Week 18 road matchup against the Bengals. He played in 83 percent of snaps on defense in the contest and allowed a 56.2 passer rating when targeted mark.

Taylor sees that Hamilton is continuing to develop quite well as an all-around safety.

"I think Kyle Hamilton’s really come into his own has a safety," Taylor said during a press conference on Wednesday. "I think he’s a really good safety."

Hamilton is not the only defensive back who Taylor will keep a close watch on when the Bengals host the Ravens on Sunday.

"They got really good guys again, that they’ve drafted and developed," Taylor said. "Brandon Stephens, Ar’Darius Washington and all those guys and obviously [Ronald] Darby has played a lot. … At safety, they got some guys in there. Geno Stone has played ball for them.

"I think it’s a really good defense that causes you a lot of problems and they can really disrupt the quarterback’s timing."

The Bengals enter Week 2 having won four out of their last five games against the Ravens, including the playoffs.
