The Detroit Lions are a fun and exciting team right now. They're also a good team. With being a good team comes good players wanting to come play for you. BetOnline, one of the biggest sports betting outlets in the world, believes the Lions could be a landing spot for two Pro Bowl caliber players that could be moved any day now.

The first one is Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans. Just a couple of weeks ago, Evans gave the Bucs a deadline for when the would like to get his new contract. That deadline was last Saturday and he has not received an extension yet. There's reason to believe that he could either be traded or that he will be hitting free agency in March.

BetOnline has the Lions with 7-1 odds to be Evans next home. The Chiefs, Jets and Bills are in front of them. We talked not too long ago about the possibility of Mike Evans in Detroit. It's a pretty high possibility if Evans is able to come to terms with the idea that he's not going to get a lengthy deal from anyone due to him being 30 years old.

As far as a trade goes, The Buccaneers said last week that there are no plans to trade Evans at this time. Pretty much every player that's ever been traded has their name in that exact sentence by whatever team wound up trading them.

The other guy is another player that we've talked about. Commanders edge rusher Chase Young is expected to be moved at some point and BetOnline has the Lions with 3/1 odds being the team to trade for him. The Bears are the only team ahead of the Lions.

Young is currently injured and is expected to miss the Commanders matchup with the Denver Broncos. Once he's healed up, who knows what the next move for him is. It just hasn't worked out that well in Washington in the last couple years after a huge rookie season that saw him take home the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

This is a trade that shouldn't cost the Lions much more than a day three pick to get done. They could bolster their edge group up even more with a move like this and have a solid answer on the opposite side of Aidan Hutchinson.

Whether these moves happen or not is up in the air. What IO can tell you is that if the Lions go it and win the NFC North this year and win a playoff game or two, they will quickly become one of the hottest destinations in the league. Get used to the idea of seeing big names next to the Detroit Lions in the near future.
