The Kansas City Chiefs have released their second injury report ahead of their Week 2 tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It was the second consecutive session for TE Travis Kelce and DT Chris Jones, who returned to practice after missing Week 1's game against the Detroit Lions. One Chiefs player also returned to practice on Thursday after missing out on Wednesday, and the best news of all — there were no new additions to the injury report.
Check it out down below:
| Player | Injury | Wednesday | Thursday |
|---|---|---|---|
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire | Illness | DNP | FP |
DT Chris Jones | NIR Rest | LP | LP |
TE Travis Kelce | Knee | LP | LP |
CB L’Jarius Sneed | Knee | LP | LP |
WR Richie James | Knee | FP | FP |
CB Nic Jones | Hand | FP | FP |
WR Kadarius Toney | Knee | FP | FP |
DT Tershawn Wharton | Knee | FP | FP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Injury report observations:
- The Chiefs are easing Kelce back into things after his knee injury and they're doing the same with Jones after an offseason without training camp and the preseason.
- As I said on Wednesday, expect a lot of limited practices for Sneed this season as he deals with a knee injury.
- It's good to see Edwards-Helaire back after dealing with an illness. He was inactive for the playoff game against the Jaguars.
