The New England Patriots are sitting at the bottom of the division while the Buffalo Bills have taken over the number one spot with their recent victory over the Miami Dolphins, something that would've brought a smile to my face 10 years ago with Buffalo being irrelevant in the division.
However, the Patriots are bringing in some reinforcements after a huge trade involving their former CB J.C. Jackson. The team is reportedly swapping a 2025 sixth and seventh for Jackson, who has been struggling with the Chargers.
Sophie Weller from A to Z Sports broke down the trade and how it will help their defense moving forward, who are also battling with their own injuries.
However, this trade ultimately stacks in favor of none other than WR Stefon Diggs. With Jackson returning home to New England, he gets to face off against the superstar WR two times a year. If history is any indication, he may soon regret that decision.
Diggs is Jackson's kryptonite and had been torching him while he was in the division. Let's be honest, there aren't many CBs who can lockdown Diggs, but Jackson had been playing extremely well with New England outside of when he had to cover the All-Pro WR. In case you need a reminder of how dominant Diggs was against the CB, here you go.
The Bills' first matchup against the Patriots this season just got a whole lot more interesting. Our money is on Digs.
