Jones and Calvin Ridley currently lead the Jaguars in receiving touchdowns this season with one a piece. Now that Jones has been ruled out on Sunday, the other receivers behind Jones will have an opportunity to step up. Guys like Jamal Agnew and Tim Jones will look for ways to fill the void in the Jags' offense, just as they did last year.
Earlier this week, Jamal Agnew talked about Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
"The reason there's no panic is because we know what we're capable of. We know what we need to clean up and it's easy," Agnew stated. "Obviously we wanted to win that game real bad, but it kind of woke us up to make sure we're staying on the little details."
Agnew and his fellow receivers will have plenty of opportunities to "stay on the little details" this upcoming Sunday. Hopefully, they'll find paydirt this time around.
Fortunately for the Jaguars, the rest of their injury report is thin.
The Jaguars kick off their week three against the Texans on Sunday at 1 PM EST at EverBank Stadium.
