Sports Illustrated's Pat Forde isn't a favorite among Tennessee Vols fans.

Forde seemingly never passes up an opportunity to take a shot at Tennessee while often referencing, in a negative way, the fan revolt in late 2017 that thwarted former UT AD John Currie's attempt to hire Greg Schiano.

Last month, Forde suggested that Tennessee is the most overrated team in the SEC.

Despite the preseason criticism of the Vols, Forde has Tennessee beating the Florida Gators on Saturday night in the Swamp (he also has UT covering the -6.5 spread).

From SI.com: I appreciate the number being less than a touchdown. This is almost always a competitive game, but the Gators are not a good offensive team and will not be able to match points with the Volunteers.

Forde must think Florida is really bad to pick the Vols to beat them for the first time in Gainesville since 2003.

Or maybe Forde is trying to "jinx" Tennessee. Based on some of his previous columns, it wouldn't be a total shock if he's internally rooting for Florida to knock off Josh Heupel and the Vols on Saturday night in front a rowdy Gators crowd.

Tennessee and Florida kick off at 7:00 PM ET on Saturday. The game can be seen on ESPN.
