The Denver Broncos lost to their division rival, the Las Vegas Raiders, last week, and after the season they had in 2022, then the offseason, that sucks overall. Not to mention, they have now lost seven straight games to the Raiders.

The way they lost hurts, too. This team is supposed to pick up where they left off, having a great defense. And, for the most part, they made plays, but their pass defense was awful.

Luckily, it's a good thing they will have reinforcements soon in that department when a rookie is making his debut.

The Broncos drafted Riley Moss this offseason, but he was dealing with some injuries last week and was not able to make his season debut. This week, he will.

Last week, the Broncos, or Patrick Surtain, I should say, did a great job of limiting Davante Adams, one of the best receivers in the league. Pat Surtain II had 20 single coverage reps against Davante Adams, and in those reps, Surtain won the battle.

However, outside of PS2, no one else really played great. The biggest bust in the pass defense was second-year cornerback Demarri Mathis, who gave up two touchdowns to Jakobi Meyers.

Moss can come in and give the Broncos the boost they need against a good receiving group, too. The Washington Commanders will look to get their guys involved through the air, and hopefully, Ross can bring some better defense than what we saw on Sunday.

Ross was on the injury report all week but came through as a full participant. He will more than likely play.
